The engine air filter in your BMW removes dirt and other particulates from entering your engine’s intake to maximize performance and increase fuel economy. The cleaner the air entering your engine, the better it mixes with fuel to have a more complete burn during engine combustion.

Some engines have the engine air filters covered and may require more extensive removal of covers, hoses and even air boxes to remove and replace the filter.
